The three levels of iPay

The iPay system is split into three different levels each with its’ own purpose.

Client level

As you can see from the image above, the client level is at the top of the tree. This level is used for councils, academies, or catering companies that are responsible for multiple schools. From the client level, new user logins can be created, reports can be accessed for each connected school, and pre-order products and menus are created for schools that are using the online pre-order.

*If a school operates as a stand-alone school, they will be given a log in for the client level also.

School level

The school level sits in the middle of the tree. At this level, all management of that individual school is performed, such as fund and user management. Any reports created at this level will only display information relevant to the individual school.

*The school level varies slightly depending on whether the school is Impact linked or non-Impact linked (online pre-order). Typically a Secondary/High school would be linked to our Impact cashless catering system. This means that a parent/guardian would “Top-up” their child’s account through iPay and the child will spend that credit in school at a physical EPOS till. The non-linked version is often the preferred method for Primary Schools where the parent will also Pre-Order their child’s meal online using the iPay system.

Parent level

Lastly, at the parent level, parents/guardians of students can log into iPay Impact and pay money into their child’s account and/or pre-order their child’s meals.

*A single parent logon may have multiple children linked to their account even if the children go to different schools, however, this is only possible if both schools fall under the same client.
